The Bali Botanic Garden, or Kebun Raya Bali, was originally established in 1958 as a collection of species of conifers (non-flowering seed plants, or Gymnosperms) from throughout the world, and as a place for recreation. It was also equipped for scientific, cultural and technical activities.
Today, the garden is unique in Bali as a place for botanical research, conservation, education and recreation. It provides a place where you can relax in beautiful and peaceful surroundings while learning about the use of plants in the daily lives of Balinese people.

The Bali Botanic Garden enjoys temperatures ranging from 17 to 25 degrees during the day, dropping to a mild 10 to15 degrees at night, although the humidity can range from 70 to 90 per cent. The weather, however, is somewhat unpredictable so it’s advisable to bring a light jacket and an umbrella.
